going by that Time site, everything was shit this year...
The only good thing was some old duck had cast her vote in Iraq's first free elections in 51years... Everything else invloved death, fighting and tragedy...

90% of the year 2005 occured in the US... no wonder the days seem to be getting shorter over here!
Much prefer the first link. Has some fantastic photos, and some uplifting photos to go with the sad major events - and a good soundtrack to present it all really well.
