24/7 supermarket in jandakot - spudshed

I was doing a Jandakot gp with my cousin at 2am in the morning and I saw a 24/7 supermarket in the middle of no where, quite literally. I was in total disbelieve.


So as some people know, Spudshed is a bit like aldi, you won't find all the items a normal supermarket has but you will save a lot in quite a few products and they do have . Their fruit and veg is massive as well, very cheap. Worth to have a look to see what items you can save a lot of money on.


So this is a bit of a head up for any southies that want to do some late night shopping, support this guys, so we can have 24/7 shopping.


(BTW the 24/7 only works because the supermarket is located in jandakot which is federal land, how awesome is that)

Location is at Berrigan Drive, which is an extension of Karel, right next to the airport.

huge range of fruit and veges and quite handy when im coming home at 4 in the morning and need some lunch for that day.

yeh the spud shed has been open at the airport for a few months now, been hearing good things about it. My sister always goes to the one down Baldivis.

Yep it's attached to the Peak servo, so open 24/7. I often stop there on the way home from work late at night to grab ingredients for dinner or a random snack.

We've been getting our Scotch Fillet from there, it comes in a 6.5 kilo slab and you just cut it to the size you want!! Cheap as also.. Was about $65.. Try buying Scotch at the butcher or supermarket... $15/kilo mimimum?

It is great to see free enterprise beat red tape. I am lucky enough to be the State MP for Jandakot and went down to the opening of this spud shed. Because it is on Federal government owned land it is not subject to the ridiculous and ancient trading hours laws.

If the owners had built it outside of the airport precinct they would be restricted in when they could open and how many people they could employ. So it is great to see someone buck they system.

It shouldn't be up to the government to tell any buisness when they can and can't trade. If it was up to me I would rip the law up and let shops owners do what they want (and stop IGA from having a monopoly on extended trading hours).
