Eh, the chances of it being real are slim. With all the hoaxes and wackos seeing UFOs everywhere, when we do have a real encounter, it won't be taken seriously anyway.

If it is real, it will be covered up, if its a hoax, it will blow over, either way we wont hear about it again.

He was scared of it so he drowned it, but yet he got it to pose next to that rusted trap? Or is it just resting there and looks as if it is standing on its own?

Well considering the building blocks of life have been found on Asteroids in space, the size of the Universe, it is becoming apparent that life is common, and not rare in outer space as previously thought.
Its only a matter of time before we meet other species.

Edit: Heres a link to what Im referring to, as for the little guy in the OP, not too sure really, would have to see it
come out in a scientific journal before I started believing it.
