Looks like after my accident I am going to loose my index finger.
Does anybody else have missing fingers?
how does it affect your life?
anything you cannot do because of it?
pick your nose properly?
What accident happened to you mate?
Judge the character of a person by the way they treat people who can do nothing for them.

oh man do you have to have that as your avatar ... FUCK!![]()

My old man lost a couple of fingers and ended up with the nickname of Stumpy... best you be changin your id on here now Stumpy!

I see a big insurance payout in your future...
I mean you were trying to become a "Hand model", right?

Wow, sorry to hear. I'm also sorry for all the yobs making fun of your misfortune. They're laughing now but they'll be whistling a different tune if something like that ever happens to them.
Pity it's the index finger but I'm sure you'll learn to live without it. It could always be worse.
I've not lost a finger but I did lose the tip of my thumb and had to have it tidied up by a plastic surgeon (who did a great job btw). It's not really a problem now but it was a pain (literally and metaphorically) until the wound healed.

Not fingers but some toes, you learn to deal with it.
The index finger on my left hand doesn't fully either currently and constantly working on making it better.Sorry to hear about your injuries but you will learn to deal with it pretty quickly.
What doctor are you using? Try Jeff Ecker at SJOG in Subi for a second opinion before the chop. If i had seen him first then i wouldn't be having the issues with my finger now.

Men have motorcycles while women have mensutral cycles, you can't talk to either while they are on it. The women's also has a sound, it goes nag-na-nag-nag-nag, biiiiiitch-bitch-biiiiiiiitch!

I have 5/8" missing from my left thumb, two small fingers don't work that flash on the same hand. Adjustment is necessary. Can I not do things? Na. Just have to approach a few things in a different manner. It's quite surprising how inventive one becomes.
Let's face it. We aren't crippled, blind or deaf. There are a shit load of people a bloody site worse off than us.

Wish I had something better to say, I hope it can be worked with mate. All the best.

Good luck mate, I am sure you will adapt.
Def leopard have a one armed drummer, that would be a bit of a challenge.
Django Reinhard was the greatest jazz guitarist of his time and he had two paralyzed fingers following a fire.
One finger shouldn't restrict you too much.
Edit. Keeping it could cause you more problems than it is worth.
Were you wearing gloves when this happened ? I'm genuinely curious..

Index finger is going to be a pain, but you'll learn to adapt in time. A sense of humour about it will help, sorry about the old ladies cramping the guys who are trying to help you find a laugh about it and help cope.
It also provides some interesting prosthetic opportunities: Man implants USB drive in finger
Captain Starfish is currently pimping:
Need your home theatre installed? MS Tech
Looking for awesome walls in your house? Custom Walls
Like scuba diving? UWA Underwater Club

I think the girls would prefer this...
I mean sure...you can shove a USB in them but I doubt it will help them download...
Now a vibrating finger...well...
