Severed tendons in my fingers took 6 months to knit, and nearly 2 years before I had maximum strength. That would have been affected by the fact that they couldn't be stitched together, so if you've had surgical repair it should take less time (I guess).

the dr said two to three months till fully recovered but do u think i can do stuff earlier its only affecting my wrist not fingers
one of my mates did similar years ago and it took him about 2 months to mend enough to return to work and another 2 months before he had enough strenth to pull in his clutch lever. his answer to the problem was to only pull in the clutch when stopped (if couldn't find nutural) and just crash change gears. If your timing is right very easy, if not might pay to waith till all clear.

well thats pretty depressing, thanks
first thing I would be doing is use somthing for resistance strenthing like a sponge to start with then as your strenth returns find things a bit more resent and keep working up till you can use a tennis ball for strenthening. remember these things if not healed correctly will come back and haunt you in the future.
I have had many injuries in my time and my most recent / serious is starting to play havic again. All I do is keep strenthening when it starts playing up.
yeah i think i'll do that i don't want to make it permanent, but i am so keen to use it, its in a plaster for another two weeks then i have physio
do wot the dr sez or u will be sorry

Do wot dr agrid sez. Or you'll be sorry.
Seriously, it takes time to regain strength. There's being enthusiastic, and there's being stupid. Don't be stupid.
I'm a Dr. Not a medical one though as I have a PhD.
Small fact: Medical Doctors dont have a doctorate in anything unless they study extra for one. They all have Bachelors degrees and only get called 'Dr' because they've done as long at uni as someone with a PhD.
I have a lot of colleagues that are doctors (ie they have a PhD). They tend to note that in their airline bookings because it gets them preferential seating. A number of them have had the embarrassing situation where someone falls ill on the plane and they have to explain that, "err, I'm not a real doctor".

Do as Agrid said, I have had more than my fair share of injuries over the years and often said "nah, s'all good"
Only prolongs the healing process and can lead to permanent damage.
A motorcycle forum, or any other for that matter is probably not the best place to seek specialist medical advice.
Be patient or be a long term patient.
I dislocated my ankle when I came off doing a wheelie on a Husqvarna automatic on a motocross track in 1982. The doctor and my physio said stay off it for six to eight weeks.
Naturally I ignored these supposed experts and taped my ankle up and went wave-jumping and then dislocated my kneecap.
My suffering continues.

Do the exact number of excercises and the exact number of times per day that the physio tells you to do, no more no less.
The reason is simple, too much and you will do more damage due to fatigue in the muscles, too little and the muscles wont get the strength back and you will do some damage later on in that while you may think you are healing quite well, you really aren't

Do what agrid and DV say. I was warned with my severed tendons that if I bent my finger even once, I'd have to start it all from scratch.

One of my workers severed numerous tendons, nerves and one major artery a bit over a year ago. Was a full three months before he returned for light duties and full work capacity took six months, he still and always will have dexterity issues, restricted movement and lack of feeling in some parts of his hand but overall his recovery has been good.
If you get it wrong now you will pay for the rest of your life.

Funny you should say that, I snapped a tendon in my ring finger playing basketball. I saw the surgeon and he said what I had was "mallet finger", he fitted a custom plastic sheath over my finger, I had to leave it in place for eight weeks and come back every couple of weeks for a checkup. If I bent my finger just once, the eight weeks would start over. I followed the doctor's instructions and my finger is almost perfect.
A few months later I did the same thing to another finger and figured "How hard can it be, I know exactly what to do, what's the worst thing that can happen, DIY hand surgery yeah!" So, I made my own plastic sheath and followed the doctor's previous instructions and saved $800.
That finger looks like a mallet.
