Anyone want to teach / help me get set up to kiteboard?

    Hello PSB,

I've recently finished up at my FIFO job and have a lot of free time, gym being my only commitment at the moment.

I'm looking for someone who would be interested in teaching me the basics to kiteboarding as well as helping me purchase some equipment.

I'm 180cm and 80-85kg, have wake boarded quite a bit and learn fast.

Will pay for the tuition, I just want to be on the safe side, once I'm up and running I'll progress on my own.

I live in Wembley, and should be able to make any time or day, please let me know if you're interested!

    Cheers

If you've waked. Then all you need to do is learn to fly the kite. Get one or two lessons...ie basics to learn to fly and the safety stuff, and then buy a kite and learn to fly it. 80-85 a 9-10m should be ok for summer. Any sle from 08 onwards is a good start. If you need help just ask.

Check out the seabreeze.com.au for sale section to give u an idea of prices. Heaps in there.

(Slingshot) rev, (cabrinha) switchblade, (airush) flow or lithium, and (rrd) obsession IMO are all great progressive kites and ideal starter kites. Not super noob, but not something that you will outgrow. (I'm not familiar with the other brands so may have missed a few)

Harnesses are like a pair of bike jeans, u just have to try em all on and find the comfiest.

Contact Ben from WA Surf (Safety Bay) or Gwen at Perth Kite School (Woodman Point & Applecross)

Both have been teaching and running schools for a while, have a very professional crew/setup and have all the appropriate permits/insurance in place. The big sandbar and shallow water at Safety Bay and Woodies also means these are two of the easiest and safest spots to learn. Applecross isn't too far away if you want to go there either. Yes, Safety Bay & woodies are a bit of a drive but due to the better location you will learn faster and get more effective kiting time in.

They know the local conditions and all the gear and will be able to give you good advice on what kit to get and generally give you a fair discount if you get lessons with them, they aren't going to try and sell you five lessons if you only need two either.

Hey all, how does this package look that I found on gumtree?

Kitesurfing set (board, kite, harness, bar & lines, bag, pump) | Sport & Fitness | Gumtree Warnbro

What would you say is a good price for this setup?
