i have it on PS3, can anyone please tell me why, when i click search for game, i get NO games, none what so ever, it just says 'searching'
but if i click join session on mates games, i get a nice green connection?

any help would be MUCH appreciated

I don't know if I've even touched a PS3 before so I probably can't strictly help with that but I would say a good place to start is to find out if your NAT type is "Open" or "Strict".

If it's strict then it would be worth while finding out how to forward a couple ports to get that bad-boy to say "open" ;-).

Also a little while back I opened a PSB group on Steam and then realised there already was one. I didn't shut it down because it already had a couple of members. As I figure most those members were from here I changed the group name to "PSB-CoD Players" - hope no one minds .

did about 4 hours net research last night, to narrow it down to (i think) my internet connection speed
(on the bigpond unlimited download plan). . . fnck knows hows fast it is 9they say one thing and provide another usually)
i opened up all the ports on my router, gave me ps3 a fixed IP, internter connection test. . . . NAT Type 3 <-------ghey
looks like i'll just have to settle with joining mates games

Got my NAT back to "Open" last night (XBox), it had been on the fritz for a while but simply had to change port 3704 to TCP only, instead of TCP/UDP which I'm sure the site recommended the first time. Working quite nicely now.

i did the whole port open up thing, and everything connects via that method. . . however not NAT 2 just NAT 3 (sh!ts me, big time)

as far as i could tell, this method is only really if you cant enable UPnP
which is 'Available' on my PS3 and i cant figure out where to connect via UPnP, but then i read somewhere that if it says its available, you're already using it.

Rossi, you have to enable UPnP on your router. Also PortForward.com - Port Forwarding Guides Listed by Manufacturer and Model, select your modem model, select PS3 CoD6, skip the advertisement on the next screen, follow instructions, viola.

FFS! I just had ~15 games in a row where EVERYONE was getting as close to lag free as this shitty system is gonna get. It's genuinely the FIRST time since buying this game I've had more than ONE happy MP game - EVERY game I placed in the top 3 because of it. Then the guy with the good connection obviously left and I've now spent the last fkn hour in and out of 10+ lobbies that I have to keep bailing on coz not a single one if giving more than 1 bar of ping.
