depends on the router, but the netgear wireless router modem i use has both scheduling and support for trend micro parental control (net nanny shit) as standard features available from the GUI. just log into your routers GUI and explore the options, if it doesnt have the features you want replace it with one that does.

Get a router with the features built in. I always use Draytek's because I like the VPN features, but they also have the ability to limit IM, P2P and Video Streaming. The kids hate me but meh!
