Today, as i was walking down the stairs next to elizabeth jolley lecture theater, towards the basement cafe, i saw a man, riding my expensive pushbike, with a big smile on his face.
My bike "was" locked up at the bike racks under the engineering building that we all would park our motorbikes not too long ago.
I chased him but to no avail, reported to campus security (seemed more intent on handing out parking tickets that hearing my story) and the popo.
Just posting on here to let you guys know that there are some dodgy people walking around campus.
Lesson learn't? buy the biggest lock available, perhaps even leave my good bike at home and ride a cheap kmart bike to uni, if its going to be left in the same spot every day.
P.S If anyone knows of a stolen red and black Giant Strata mountain bike let me know

That's fucked up. What is wrong with the world ey. Get a job, earn $$$, buy your own shit!!
Degreaser?
same thing almost happened me, except i was luck and his bolt cutters weren't big enough to cut my lock, he did get close though.
I got one there the other day seeing that they wernt letting us park under the engineering building. I actually think i have seen you before kuba i was riding a blue naked hyosung...
Just putting it out there but make sure we are parking in "bays" they seem to be pinning everyone for parking out of bays.
Big thanks to all the Curtin riders today. Spent the day studying only to find out now I had left the keys in my bike all day! Very relieved to find both bike and keys sitting where I left em.
By enclosed do you mean in a cage of some sort?

Just a heads up to all those doing an exam tomorrow, the Queen apparently is visiting Clontarf, front of Curtin tomorrow at 10am.. Not sure which roads exactly will be impacted, but give extra time to get to Uni. Hell they may even close Manning Road to local traffic.. Also explains all that work at Clontarf recently..
Just a heads up guys. Someone tried to steal my bike yesterday afternoon outside the Dome near the stadium. Came back to find they had attacked my ignition, and proceeded to give up after realising it won't start thanks to the immobiliser.
It would be nice if they would spend some of their millions of dollars profit on some security cameras, but unless that happens, keep an eye out for dodgy looking people checking out bikes.
Hiya, spotted a guy in a PSB hoody and a red and black helmet walking down the stairs near 303. Hiya![]()
