Do you talk to your tom tom

I use my Tom Tom every day to find clients houses, but sometimes it wants to take me in a direction i dont want to go, or simply talks to much.
I often then either talk to it or yell at it.
None of this seems to do any good.
But it got me wondering, do you talk to your sat nav thingy?

i used to, then i found the mute button.

now i glance at the screen occasionally when i need to know where to go but it always trys to take me down dead ends or get me to turn right where no right turn signs exist. its probably trying to get back at me for muting it.

I argue with it when i take dodgey shortcuts over paths and kerbs in the cage... haha
And i accuse the missus of cheating on me with tom because i think he gets more of her time and conversation.
We changed the voice on ours to an irish accent just for shits and giggles.
For some reason in irish mode it always takes us to the local pub, no matter what.

All during Christmas whenever we went anywhere he would call out to her - come on TomTom - she would go get her glasses and the map book

Thing is TomTom (mum) has to sit in the back when I'm around cos I get car sick and she turns around and tells him where to go when he pisses her off - am thinking he would like a real TomTom that doesnt answer back !

Molly my map mole as she is called must be deaf, I yell at her to shut up and she just goes on and on.. I swear one day she will chuck a plonker when I dont, turn around.. make a u turn.. turn around cuz she is taking me some obsure way

The Garmin Nuvi has Lee = males voice, female is Jane

when I was in the states and used one there I asked avis man what I should call it when I started to abuse it and he told me the name of the real people that record the words, when I didnt believe him he showed me a print out of the stats for it.

driving down Albany hwy cannington the other week, 8 year old girl was startled when the garmin said recalculating, she looked straight at the screen and said "Ohh shut up you sound like nana" I burst out laughing and turned it off as she was getting rather annoyed.
