    ducted air con advice

    We are in the process of geting qoutes for ducted air con....but we are having troble finding a reputable companies so would love hearing your thoughts on them please?

    House is a double storey. It will have R3 insulation. The house is brick & tile with a dark roof, lots of north facing windows & very open plan. The install is being done during contruction. builder is advising me to go with his installers otherwise he will charge $750 admin fee, and insisting on supplying 3phase power.

    Do you know any reasonable Aircond companies.

    Get a quote from hearth house too, fair few builders use them as well.

    dont get LG... nothing but trouble, and they have crap service, esp locally (only 1 company doing repairs south of the river)... we're currently going through docep to try and get our money back and install soething better....

    i do recommend 3 phase power but...

    They're one of the biggest and have always offered excellent service. I've dealt with both Andy Ford & Kyle Doonan as client's of mine and have been a client of theirs on several occassions. They're not the cheapest by a long shot, but I can't say a bad word about these guys.

    One thing's for sure, they'll calculate the heat load & air volumes so no matter how hot or cold it is, your system will ALWAYS work without compromise and you wont have to deal with a shit house day/night system simply because a dodgy sales rep with a days training want's to make a sale.
