    Yet....

We have an idiot in the treasury seat who sniffed women's seats for a living and has put a suggestion forward to increase the rate of the GST. Pretty soon he will be putting the water board up for sale and the freeway becoming a toll-road can't be too far away!

Ha Ha that would be a dead cert to slow the Freeway down even more and push more traffic onto minor arterial Rd's

I'm taking the bait :p i'm just glad they dont have em here!

    How much does it cost?

The new account has a one-off $3.30 set up fee when opening at a registry or a $1.50 set up fee when opening online.

It has a $1.25 monthly management fee for a single tag, with a $1 fee for a second tag, 75 cents for a third and 50 cents for every tag thereafter.

Pensioners will pay $1.50 to set up the account and will only pay 50 cents per month per tag attached to their account.

+ you have the following fees:

Tag security deposti (per tag) $40
Opening balence for pre-paid tolls (per tag) $60
Total upfront fee of tag: $100
Automatic top up of tag must be $10 amounts: Min $80

These are for a frequent user:
    Infrequents are:
Tag security deposti (per tag) $40
Opening balence for pre-paid tolls (per tag) $40
Total upfront fee of tag: $80
Automatic top up of tag must be $10 amounts: Min $20

Thats still a bit of money just for driving on a few roads...

Interesting, my e-tag, from e-toll (QLD) cost me zero. Nothing, nada, zip. Only cost is the money coming from my card onto the toll account.

    Well it isn't fraudulent.
Allowing people to pay everything using something like the e-tag is pretty handy imo.

Do they give you large amounts of credit on an e-tag?
