In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.
I'm away from home working. fathers day and my wifes birthday. Feeling rather sad right now, I hope all the kids give their dads a big hug and kiss.
My dad is a champ I didnt realise it as a tacker but the older I get the more I realise he is probably the best friend I will ever have.
I pick up the phone and ask a favour or if he can fix something and he tells me when he will come help do it.
When I head over there he greats me with a smile and a bit of stick, and then smiles more when I give him some stick back.
I can only hope I am as big a champ when I am a dad.
Happy D-day to all the Dads on here.
happy fathers day to all the good fathers out there

Happy dads day everyone
It's better to be thought stupid than open your mouth and remove all doubt
Pure speed in sixth gear on a 5,000 foot straightaway is one thing, but pure speed in third gear on a gravel-strewn, downhill, ess turn is quite another.

great poem for fathersday
Footprints
"Walk a little slower, Daddy,"
said a child so small.
"I'm following in your footsteps
and I don't want to fall.
Sometimes your steps are very fast,
Sometimes they're hard to see;
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For you are leading me.
Someday when I'm all grown up,
You're what I want to be;
Then I will have a little child
Who'll want to follow me.
And I would want to lead just right,
And know that I was true;
So, walk a little slower, Daddy,
For I must follow you."

I spoke to my mum yesterday (86 years old). We reminisced about times with Dad. I recalled the times when I copped a belting....and how he would say to me "This hurts me more than it hurts you!" I'd think "Bullshit!!"
I recounted that word for word with mum, yesterday. We laughed. I miss him so much.
Steve must have been at the same school as my Dad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Been ten yrs and we will head out and see Mum at Toodyay.

My second fathers day, and im the up outta bed, wife is still snoring her head off.

I dragged my daughter to the tool display, pointed at the item, and said, "I want that one."
I've had enough Father's Days to know one doesn't leave things to chance. I hope all the other Dads do as well as I do.![]()
Please, call me Flash...
My third fathers day, still haven't met my daughter. My dad is 13,000km away, so not a great day. Oh well, going to fix both of these next year.
Oh and happy Fathers day to all those out there...

My Step-father is here visiting. You guys just gave me the bump I needed to go spend a great day with him. I know how special it felt this morning, when my kids came in to wish me a happy fathers day.
I never knew my real Dad, and always treated my step-father as second best which was both unwarranted and unfair. So thank you for for the reality check guys. Much appreciated.
To remember him is to have him here Steve. It's a crazy thing really, but I miss my old man nearly every day, even though I never met him and only know his name by my birth certificate. I guess in a similar way, my thoughts of him today, keep it real for me.
Have a great day dad's, whether you know you're one or not![]()
