Ok I admit it. I LOVE horror movies! Theyre the best kind of movie ever - the problem is finding ones that aren't overdone, as most of them seem to try and go for the extra 'thrill factor' right at the end and cock up the whole movie.

I also love dodgy 'b' grade horrors, the older and dodgier the better. The kind of movie you can't/aren't supposed to take seroiusly, eg. night of the living dead, psyco

Though the only 'real' horror movie i've ever seen would have to be one called 'Event Horizon'. Awesome movie There was only one part they messed up, and that was where some guy starts lecturing about 'this is what happens when you mess with the laws of physics' sif, what a fag

What are your favorites? Particularly anything that you actually found to be 'true' horror...

Recently saw The Descent, which started off kinda slow, and as more of a thriller/tension film, but then it just went all out

Long time fan of Evil Dead II and III.
The old Romero films are cool, the Return of the Living Dead films are cheesy as
Remake of Dawn of the Dead wasn't bad, didn't think much of Land of the Dead.

Can't go past the Alien movies, Aliens and Resurrection being my favourites (Resurrection was over the top but fun). From Dusk Til Dawn is great. Didn't mind the first two Blade movies, the third was terrible. The Underworld movies weren't bad, but my judgement might be swayed by Kate Beckinsale wearing PVC pants.

I've seen a lot of horror movies. Teenage slasher flicks are ok, but you don't get much interesting out of them lately. They all seem to be "Oh look, we got the killer!" and then "Aha! It was me all along!" *dum dum dum* and roll credits.

House of 1000 Corpses was wacky, haven't seen The Devils Rejects yet. Ooh, Battle Royale was great too (didn't care much for the sequel).

Horror movies give me belly laughs in a way other movies just can't achieve. I was rolling in the aisles in the last ten minutes of Hostel.

The Poltergeist movies scared the living bejeebus out of me when I was a kid. The braces... *shrieks and closes mouth firmly* Icky! That image still makes my blood run cold. *slaps hand over closed mouth*

I love From Dusk til Dawn. It's probably my favourite. But I'll watch anything except those bloody Poltergeist movies!

Sorry Daise - Ho-hum to any Stephen King adaptations coz books are always scarier and I've read them all already!

    The Mad Max Trilogy.

A cynic is a man who, when he smells flowers, looks around for a coffin.

Dear god, it's some weird bastardized three wheeled two person go-kart.

Ringu scared the crap outta me the first time i saw it .. watching horror movies by yourself in an empty house is my extreme sport The playschool-like american rendition "The Ring" was so crap comparatively speaking it brought a hint of bile to my throat.

    Shaun of the Dead FTW!

edit: oh and the changeling is another really old one that scared the crap out of me
