dunno if its been mentioned yet, but the Wally Deli on Canning Road does a pretty mean burger.
Ok, it's not in Perth but if you get to venture up to Cairns make sure you check out the Rydges with their Big Ass Burger

i havent had a really good burger out in ages. I gave up looking for decent ones - don't care anymore for jus, grill'd etc so i make em up at home now. 100 times better and cheaper and you know whats in them.

Down sout west highway the little deli on the right just after Serpy dam turn off makes very nice burgers if your going that way

True, but if science had the funds religion has enjoyed for eons we might have better explanations by now, or at least hover shoes.
Went back to Source Foods on the corner of Beaufort and Brisbane, Perth for their Friday night Burger night and had the OMGT Burger. Substantial and delicious.

I'd be interested in what people class as a "good" burger? For me there are a few things that I look for:
1) Can eat the whole thing without the arse of it falling out half way through and being covered in filling and shite....nothing worse imo than a burger you have to slop up from a plate because its had a hernia
2) A bun that taste's good and doesn't tear the roof off of your mouth....hate reminiscing how good a burger was then tounging the raw skin in your gob to remind you it wasn't that flash after all
3) Decent meat pattie that has thickness and flavour not that pre-pressed fast food freezer stuff...blech
4) Nice mix of fillings / sauces / condiments etc that you can actaully taste each of them without being overpowered by one or the other
Call me fussy but when it's done right man its goooooood!! For something that has all of the above try the "Cheeseburger" at the Last Drop in Canning Vale: Brewery Perth WA, Restaurant Perth, Breweries Western Australia, Perth Brewery, Beer Garden & Pub Breweries Perth
Fucking phenomenal burger...top 3 if not the best I've had....and the chips that go with it are pretty damn rad too!
I agree with the above. No good calling it a burger if you have to disassemble it to eat it.
Pattie has to be full of flavour but not too thick 3/4in max I reckon. I'd rather a thinner pattie that covers the entire surface area of the bun than one that's more of a giant meatball sitting in the middle. Don't like an overly crusty bun either. Having your mouth slashed by "shards" of crust is no fun
I like caramelised onions, swiss cheese, whole egg mayo, relish and crunchy greens.
