GTIL: Finding out, even if it cost you a tank of fuel, a sore ass & 2 hours of your time, that an investment made has been well worth it & you wont be expecting the biggest, ever, pineapple in the mail & responsible for lots of disappointment - oh, and your future career plans are safe

Top effort mate! Well done (even if you did cause traffic chaos near the 4WD show in South Perth)

finally a news source in this country publishes a worthwhile story.

...
The 58,400 foreign citizens hiding illegally among us easily outnumber the populations of Mildura or Shepparton - Victoria's fifth and sixth biggest cities.

And they dwarf the 4700 asylum seekers who arrived by boat in 2010-11.

Documents released to the Herald Sun under Freedom of Information also reveal the biggest groups of illegals are Chinese, Americans, Malaysians, Britons and South Koreans.

There is no offence under Australian law that criminalises the act of arriving in
Australia or the seeking of asylum without a valid visa.

yeah that was a bit of a shambles. Solid near-stationary traffic with 5000 bicycles trying to do a right turn across it. They could have set that up a little better.

ENOUGH ILLEGALS TO POPULATE A CITY: 60,000 - and most of them are Brits and Americans | News.com.au

Oh yes, that must be good, illegal immigrants increased by nearly 10% last year.

And without being rascist, just able to see the facts without a political blindfold, let me guess whether the British and Americans who outstay their visas cause as much trouble or cost as much as certain others?

Really you couldn't miss the point by much further if you tried... (well okay I know that IS what you are trying)

*racist

And let's see, if we are going to dunk ourselves in the political/racial stereotyping bucket:

Asian imports: Work hard, keep to themselves. Send money home. Get on with things without really making a huge impact on social infrastructure (e.g. medical services etc).

Poms/yanks: usually illegal by way of blowing tourist or working holiday visas. Sit around sinking piss, smoking pot, starting fights and generally being parasites. Oh, and fucking whining non-stop about how they can't get the dole.

Yeah, give me that white trash any day.

yeah I failed English while acing Maths & Science... and I certainly wasn't talking about Asians, for the record I agree with your description of them generally. I haven't heard many of them telling us how we should live either...

Actually pool boy, it be you who couldn't have missed my point more if you tried.

My point, which was fairly clear I would have thought, given I wrote it in plain engrish was - the GTIL was the fact that a newspaper published an article which highlights the truth and some real figures about the topic, rather than the usual racist rant about how "boat people" are about to overthrow our pristine country.

btw - love the "i'm not racist, but..."
