This was my start to the day.....

You know how it is, it's just after 6 in the morning, pitch black, the tank is newly filled with premium, the air is cool with lots of horsepower, you just HAVE to give the beast a quick little squirt as you go down the on-ramp onto the freeway. Before you have much time to think you've motored up to, I dunno, $1.40-45, then common-sense kicks in and you slow down, allowing the speed to wash-off and merge into the flow.

Too late! Out of the darkness looms a set of disco lights and the inevitable siren. Hand wave by me in the air, indicator on, pull over. Gulp, this could be really really really bad you say to yourself . Good morning sir, being a little foolish aren't we? Yessir I was, I got a little carried away, but then I realised that I was being silly and then slowed down etc etc etc . License check, tyre check, light check. OK son, this is your lucky day, slow down and don't become a statistic.

I rode like a geriatric lady the whole way into work, but boy do I feel good.

B ) It's just a bit of a squirt in a straight empty lane, followed by a quick wipe off of speed back to the limit. Where exactly is the danger again?

C ) If your bike had a fender, you would be wearing a sticker

D ) I'd almost put money on the fact the reason he didn't pursue it further is that he couldn't get a good reading on you from the car in the time allotted, not that he was feeling generous and let you off.

Got followed in the old mans car yesterday (SLR 5000... so its a little noticeable... And yes i know its not a bike!!)

Theyd been following for a fair while, and like quite obviously following, Changing lanes when i did, Turning into random streets etc and it was right on that point where they're either guna pull me over for a liscence check or go find someone else to follow when some other Knob didnt notice them behind me and cut in front of me pretty close from a side street, i had to brake pretty suddenly coz i thought he wouldnt be that dumb and then took off at god knows what speed in front of me!!
They actually popped the lights on and went after him!! I was surprised aswell hey!!!

Leaving the carpark at Hillarys Boat Harbour in my car cage, it was the first wet of last year and I thought I would turn traction control off for a bit of fun as I left. I didn't do a burnout, just drifted around a traffic island. Of course I didn't notice that there was a police car nearby and they pulled me up (still in the carpark). The guy said "I noticed you spun the wheels a bit there." At this point I had resigned to defeat as there was no way I could talk my way out of it, but then... "Well, be careful and don't let us catch you again." It was a Saturday night and I think they had to go sort out a fight or something near Bar120 so I wasn't worth their time. He wasn't even a dick about it.

I also went through a speed camera at least 20 over the limit in dad's car, on my L plates. He said I get to pay the fine when it arrives, but it was almost 2 years ago now.

Well apparently I corner too fast in my wifes red shopping trolley, but they couldnt think of anything to ping me for. Had to shut my sarcasm circuit down and revert to yes/no answers till they cleared me on the 'puter but they were itching for some action.
