It must really annoy bosses who pay good salaries to their workers to find them wasting valuable hours... forum whoring

moi? err yes, but I must ration the usage, because the IT Gods here watch everything. During my first week, I have access to a stand alone internet access. hence unlimited whoreing. This week sees me fall under the umbrella of the Net Nerds, who report any abnormal access, and significantly long periods of non-work access.

+1 As i have to work in a test environment which is painfully slow i browse while waiting for it to tick over to the next step.

PS: Oracle sucks

Oracle may suck, but I've had a new found respect for it after workign with SQL Server 2k over the last couple months.

but you have to do something while waiting for code to build.
then wait again for it to load into the device.

They seem to have a fairly liberal internet usage policy where I work but my screen faces a corridor so i'm constantly doing the ALT+TAB of paranoia

I guess, more to the point, has anyone ever been busted for excess internet usage (or MSN or email) at work?
