How shit is the winter olympics coverage?

I've been trying to watch it, and so far have seen 90% Eddie fucking McGuire crapping on about subjects he knows nothing about. Then once every hour or so they will show 5 minutes of an actual event.

And this is meant to be the fucking highlights fucking package?

I am used to this much filler when it's shown live, but for a pre-recorded coverage, it's completely piss poor

Foxtel has 4 channel coverage and i have enjoyed it so far. Not too much crapping on that I noticed cosni just flick to another event in another channel and
it's nit just showing the aussies it's showing the whole event!

The Olympics, both summer and winter, used to be about the camaraderie of sport, and a stage for the individual athletes to shine upon and inspire us mere mortals-now it is all about the $$$$$$

I have always liked the winter games more than the summer games. Guy flying down a twisty mountain course at 140 kp/h versus a few dudes running in a straight line for 100m. No contest really. This has definately been the worst coverage I can remember, there is fuck all being shown. Having commentators shout "Go 'Straya" isn't helping either. It was better when we had no remotely competitive entrants. The focus was on the sports, not just our entrants.

Going the way of commercial television's coverage of summer olympics.

Just coverage of australian's being mediocre in semi-finals while the commentators, who are usually guessing as to what is giong on, shout and be patriotic about strayans... then the odd cut to the last 15 seconds of a really good event showing who won the gold medal.. and then back to watching Jeff Smith throw frisbee's and come 11th.

The coverage has been shit so far, apparently the morning show gets priority over the olympics. And Eddie fucking Everywhere is driving me nuts, he doesn't know what the fuck he is talking about, and he treats interviews as a chat with a mate, not someone who is an elite professional at the peak of their career.

Makes me wonder if the coverage is being kept shithouse so that more people will get foxtel for next time

Favourite sports for me are snowboard cross, skeleton, bobsleigh and luge.
