Ok, I work as I.T. support at a Uni in the metro area, I'm also studying, and consider myself to be of slightly above average IQ. I was also blessed by the good lord with a small amount of what is known as "common sense".
Let me tell you something. It's not that fucking common. In fact, it's pretty scarce around here.
Every day my intelligence gets attacked by the idiocy and retardedness of the people I have to deal with, I mean if you have a scholarship for a PhD, I would have thought that you would have had 2 brain cells to rub together, obviously I am wrong.
Take the aforementioned PhD scholar, he has a computer in his office, a port on the wall and has been cursing and swearing at the helpdesk staff that it's not working and he has no network connectivity. You know what's not working? Your brain fuckwit. What exactly do you think network connectivity is? You think that the little gremlins that make your PC work actually know what you want to do. No they require instruction from you. Unfortunately with your bumbling, early onset alzheimers attitude, your PC probably has more of a personality and grip on reality than you do. It's ok, I fucked him up by saying "Exactly what would you like to achieve" He had no good answer. Maybe it's the aspergers kicking in. Maybe you just need stabbing repeatedly with a very blunt object. Mate, you are about as sharp as a bowling ball and our tax dollars are paying for your research into the lesser mongolian bandicoot and it's mating dance, or whatever the fuck useless thesis you have plucked from the crevices of your very small brain.
And don't even get me fucking started on Academics.

Just because you have a PhD means you are really really good at understanding one tiny tiny tiny little niche area. And yes the poor IT guys where i do my PhD are constantly harassed, especially by academics.
