there are a few members who work at iinet here, however i will offer a few words of advice to you.

Can you please do some troubleshooting ? What sites do you get 32kb/s from ? Not all sites can provide much in the way of speed.

Best thing to do will be to connect to the iinet ftp site (ftp.iinet.net.au) and download one of the adsl test files (maybe the 1mb or 10mb files). Take note of your average download speed after a few minutes. If it is not hovering near your max adsl speed (are you a 1500/256 customer or do you have iiphone?) then you may have a problem.

If you are getting fast speeds from the iinet website, the problem most likely lies either on the site itself or on iinet's link overseas. Not much you can do there, or that iinet will do for you.

As for the wait time, yeah you will get that If you demand prompt response, i suggest you change ISP's

I think you should make a post here.

    http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-threads.cfm?f=72

much more frequency of iinet staff on that forum compared to here me thinks..

best of luck in fixing your problem!..

btw I'm with iinet as well.. but only cos of their adsl2+ or else I would have stuck with westnet..

hahahaha yeah if you have problems there is a few of us psb/iineters but i dont always have time to troll forums at work

if your only getting 32k are you shaped? possibly tier 2 shaped? are you on a dslam? has any of your phones changed? is this for international traffic only or all traffic?

otherwise call during the night and its a heaps quicker queue and we can run some tests also it might help to call the sales line as it is all the same line now 13 19 17

worst case msn me and ill see if i can call ya back im normally here 230 - 11pm
    erno.

Well he has an ADSL connection so he must be on some form of a DSLAM

I think Basic was trying to ascertain if you are on an iislam or Telstra DSLAM Taz?

32kbps does sound like you are shaped though...really you should stop downloading those "linux ISO's"

    Ditto... what they said...
had a tech account with grass roots iiNet..
even have a "priority support number", now...
and have never had more than a very minor glitch...

My guess is the problem is/was user error..
simple solution; Format and start again..

If that fails to correct the problem..
re-box every thing and spend more time out riding..
