How did you find out?

Me? I was on the living room couch happily watching Hey, Hey it's Saturday when my mum came in and turned the TV off and sat down next to me. She attempted to read (note: stumble, red faced and clearly embarrased) through a puberty book of some degree and asked me if I had any questions. My Resonse: "Can I put the TV back on now?"

Poor thing, must have been so hard for her, being that I was the oldest and the first to get "the talk", not to mention she's a religious woman of sorts and they don't condone that sort of behaviour... or something...?

But, on the upside - I was the most knowledgeable kid in my year 7 Sex Ed class

I never got the talk I found pornos mags in the house at quite a young age and figured it out myself ... I got busted with said mags about 6months later by which time I guess it was believed that I had 'learned' enough myself. I *do* remember getting the condom-on-banana demo in year six and wondering what the hell that was all about ... mostly because I hadn't seen a condom in the research I had done so far :|

Until we had guest speakers come in, I believe under protest from the school, to give a lecture on safe sex. Fuck it was funny - especially question time at the end. Three out of four questions were shut down by the CB principal with a "not relevant, next question".

Would have been about 7 or 8 years old...

had a friend who was one of those kids who was force fed knowledge from a very young age...basically home-schooled and just turned up to school to be better than everyone... we would both read through tonnes of crap that we were given on heaps of stuff like science, history, space etc etc.. and a few of those books that were in the collection happenned to be of the 'where did I come from variety'

I remember back in year 4 trying to explain how it worked to a few of the guys...and getting the response...
"wait...so he sticks his thing in, and then..like...does a wee in her...and then that wee grows into a kid inside her.....GROOSSSSSS!"


Many years later dad tries to sit me down..probably many years too late for the talk...
dad - "I think its time we had a talk about the birds and the bees"
me - "yeah sure, what would you like to know?"
dad - "oh, I see... its like that hey?" *walks off*

omfg, school showed a video of birth... it was a particularly violent one with the ugliest woman you have ever seen staring as "the screecher" blood sprayed forth and a whole year 6/7 class [we where joined classes] acted like they had just seen goatsie and two girls one cup. Didn't wanna know any more about it after that also we never did the condom thing cus the other class didn't take it seriously enough so it was cancelled [read they put a condom over some kids head]

One kid had a note from his parents not allowing him to do sex ed, funny as he was the most perverted 10 year old I ever met... well until I started baby sitting, kids these days...
