kimchi store
Hi all, just found out there is a new store at Myaree that specializes in kimchi.
This is the only link I can find on it but looks like it is someone's blog. Perth Kimchi | umeboss
The korean owners were pretty friendly although the dude doesn't speak english as well as the missus. She gave us some samples and we bought 3KGs worth. Thought it was pretty decent too.
Was pretty cheap at less than 20 bucks for the 3kgs.
Address: 37 Hulme Court, Myaree WA 6154 / (08) 9317 8688
Not sure if it is something most Aussies would enjoy but thought I'd post it for those closet kimchi fans anyway.

Great. Although, Kimchee is bullshit easy to make.
Salt some cabbage for 30 minutes in a bucket of water.
Drain.
Add ginger, chilli, onion, garlic, bicarb.
Let sit outside in bucket, covered for 5-10 days.
Refrigerate.
Eat.
Or at least, that how I remember to make it.
I might be a bit hazy on the ingredients to add, and the fermentation time.
