site specifies "You must display L plates on the front and back of your vehicle when you are driving. The plates must have an L in black on a yellow background. The size of the plate must be 150mm x 150mm"

doesn't say size of font or font itself, or if L must be the only letter

From memory, there is a standard font width, not type that's required... Why would you want to print them up? Paper doesn't do so well in the elements.

Better plan - get proper plastic L-Plate, attach using numberplate bolts, not have to worry about elements or tape durability ever again.

Mind you, if you can loophole the ballzors plate in, you get 15 points.
