After realising that we're currently starting Week 6 of 13 for this semester, and that there's currently less than 10 weeks before my literature survey is due, I've actually decided to make a start on it (besides browsing journals endlessly).

If there's anyone out there who has done a literature survey previously, in any scientific field (Even *cough* biological sciences), and wouldn't mind sharing an example of their work, a skeleton format, or tips on to how to approach things, I'd be very grateful.

My topic is on the thermodynamic properties of mixed metal oxide systems and possible applications to the minerals/mining industry and the hydrometallurgical processing of ores and possibly the cleanup of leach liquors. I (will) have a whole blob of thermodynamic data, but can't seem to construct an enthralling bunch of words to put around it. I mean, the numbers should be interesting enough to anyone reading it!

Cheers,
Jon.
