Superbike stars in meat cleaver scare | Fox Sports
Superbike stars Jonathon Rea, Andrew Pitt and Fabien Foret have been threatened with a meat cleaver in Melbourne in the latest round of anti-cyclist road-rage incidents.
The three riders were out on a training ride in preparation for the first round of the World Superbike championship on Phillip Island in February when an irate bus driver attempted to run them off the road.
"We went for a bit of a ride and on the way back we were cut off by a bus," Pitt told radio station 3AW.
"He missed us by centimetres - he had to be doing it on purpose. Then he stopped a few metres up the road and we ran up to confront him.
"He just sort of waved his arms and said we shouldn’t be riding there – even though we were in the bike lane ... and then this young fella got up and pulled a meat cleaver out of his bag and threatened the four of us."![]()
Cutting news.

Srsly? Must be a bloody slow news day! These wankers don't deserve the bandwidth with which they troll (yes, I reckon PSB is exempt from this category; here we seem to have guidelines (written or otherwise) by which most users and MOST moderators abide -- troll cleverly and you are left to work in peace, with a few laughs and 'Likes' coming your way. Be an asshat and get yellow-stickered; but not before the rest of the community tells you in no uncertain terms to fuck right off.)

I know it was reported that the weapons were all licensed, but a few lines further -
"The 36-year-old man faces 23 charges, including possessing a controlled weapon, possessing a prohibited weapon"
If the firearms were licensed, how can they charge him?

who said the prohibited weapon was a gun?
AFAIK - they are all in a way controlled/prohibited items.A search of the Port Kennedy home yesterday allegedly uncovered the cache of firearms, methylamphetamine, knives, ninja stars, batons, machetes, laser pointers and just under $18,000 in cash.
