never managed a really good lightning shot, this would be my best---little panasonic point'n shoot, unedited, as are all my offerings.

Couple of sky shots I took from the balcony of my old place in Freo.
This one is full colour!
Not sure how this one works, i guess the clouds really did look like that...

Does anyone do any macros shots?
if so what lens do you use or do you use one of those macro rings?
Also how about moon shots? When I zoom in on my 55-250 lens I can see craters but when I take the shot it comes out much smaller.
What sort of lens would be needed to fill up the whole shot with moon?
A few from my travels
Nothing too technically proficiant, but with a cuteness factor off the scale!

Miyajima, I was there for few nights and my GF was sick as a dog so all I did was walk around the torri gate area taking photos with my point and shoot using the lamp posts and everything else as tripods to try and get some killer shots.
That place is amazingly beautiful at night.
+10000!^^ It's a photographers dream that place! Scenery, Random Japanese weirdness and animals all rolled in one.

I didn't get to go that way this year. Will definitely pencil it in for the next trip.

Here are a few of my Miajima ones, bear in mind these are on a shitty waterproof olympus with no tripod.

So Im fucking around with this camera again.
This time its trying to capture water.
This one is kind of cool because you can see the uspide down image of the Faucet in the drops.
If you have any tips please let me know. With some shots there is a warmish hue and the same sort of shot with the same settings comes out with a blue hue. Why is that? they were taken directly after each other.
there awesome redfernwhat kind of lens are you using?

I had plenty of time to rub one out in space which was great but after awhile it was like living in a snowglobe - Peter Griffin
I think they look ok cos no one that actually knows about photography is trying to match it. Until then these are clearly the best water shots in this whole thread.
Im just using an 18-55 lens and the camera is on the macro setting.
ive got the same lens on my camera, what do you mean macro setting??
btw im using a canon 400D

I dont know if it really makes to much difference. I dont think it lets you zoom in anymore, it must just set the aperture and shutter speed to the best setting.
