Needs more HDR. <3
... is now the time I throw my hands in the air and bitch out the HDR crowd?
Seriously boys, less is more.

Those images are what I liked it doesnt really matter to me if someone else doesnt like them
Cam I do agree with you less is more but I was after an effect
One persons great shot is another persons dud. Same with any art form really. I can't see why people pay large amounts of money for someone to paint, for example, a couple of simple shapes on a canvas, but they do. Similarly I have shots I don't think much of that others love and vice versa. FWIW I don't go much for the post apocalyptic HDR, or heavily processed look, but can totally appreciate that some people like it, and do have some shots where I've played with effects and think they're ok. But given that a camera has nowhere near the dynamic range of the human eye I do use HDR sometimes to try and more accurately replicate what it was I saw when I took the picture. My aim is for people to look at the content without noticing the processing.

Well i am just playing around with the HDR software as i haven't had it for long to see what i can do with it. I don't normal like editing my photos but i do sometimes have to so it looks like how i had seen it before i had taken the photo like your self.
heres a picture i done abit of basic HDR editing and it just look right
cool Cam i thought i was alone here, theres is alot of art work out there that people pay big money for when you could do it yourself, like when i went to london for a holiday and theres this picture of a girls room all messy in B&W and that was worth tens of thousands!!
Which software? I use photomatix which does a pretty good job. The trick I found is to realise you'll need to use HDR processing and then shoot the correct range, but I've improved plenty of single shots. Another trick, when processing, is to move your head around and view the screen from a more oblique angle (assuming LCD) as this helps to show up where halos are occurring.

The software i am using is Nik HDR Efex Pro

Great! Tell her I'll have some more up in a while, and they 'may' be on the Australian Athletics website.
