I love how they made York look like its English namesake. Every time i have been there it has been an interesting but desolate shithole. Apparently they had photoshop back in the Fifties.

Cool video. Was it much colder those days than it is now? I saw people walking around the city shots wearing gloves and heavy coats and it looked like the sun was out. Suppose it could've been a sunny day in winter?

No, I doubt Perth temperature has changed that much, It was more likely due to the cultural cringe when folk followed English fashions rather than wear something more suitable to our climate.
Have a squizz at any historical photos, not a singlet or pair of stubby shorts to be seen.
