One of the reasons I like my motorcycle

"Once you can have people more frightened of disorder than tyranny, it enables you to do almost anything you like so far as legislation is concerned." Chief Judge Antoinette Kennedy, 26/3/2010.

"The State must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation." Adolph Hitler, Mein Kampf

    Awesome

Though, given the spacing of the cars coming back, I reckon some photochoppery has been perpetrated.

edit: tineye is suggesting this is part of a Vespa ad?

Unless the bike was going EXTREMELY fast it has to be photoshopped. Or two images spliced together (oncoming traffic in a different photo).
    But you already knew that.

I agree, rad photomanip. It certainly feels like that during peak hour traffic!

There is a Sydney in Virginia. There is a Brisbane in San Francisco.
That pic is def USA, no road like that in Sydney NSW, plus the cars and side of the road.

    Nice pic anyways!

    I concur on the photoshop.

if traffic was stopped... the spacing between cars would be closer....

Why the hell is there a keep "left" sign when they are driving on the right side...
My guess is the LEFT and the SYDNEY words have both been changed.

..and the bike light trail is also photoshopped... (turns are too sharp).. they have been made to fit the gaps on this low exposure shot (lower than what would cause the bike light.... otherwise all the other car lights would be glowing more.

The whole timing of the bike lights to travel that far ... vs none of the cars even inching foward...

I'd also put money for it being prepared for an ad.

final proof: 90% at least of all cars in the USA are autos, you need to hold on the brake to stop them creeping forward. There are no brake lights illuminated, espcially high-mount jobbies, ergo traffic is actually moving.
In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.

    no no no,

this was a shot from one of the deleted scenes in Torque, you know the bit at the end when he jumps on the Y2K jet turbine bike and chases down the bad dude on the harley?
(Not that he needed a jet turbine to do that)
Well this is the scene that was meant to be used for the credits where instead of riding off into the sunset he rides off into dense traffic and a wide flat road because the movie was that shit and factually incorrect that there is no way it could finish any other way!

But cool pic none the less.

Plus i am sure you would see more evidence of a bike as it passes in front of the "stationary" car in it's headlights.

Definitely shopped... but I like it anyway and certainly gets it's point across if it is an ad.
