    Photo tampering throughout history

    "Once you can have people more frightened of disorder than tyranny, it enables you to do almost anything you like so far as legislation is concerned." Chief Judge Antoinette Kennedy, 26/3/2010.

    "The State must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation." Adolph Hitler, Mein Kampf

    Shackeltons photographer Frank Hurly i think . (yes Frank Hurly )
    Fammed through the ill fated but blessed Shackelton expidision,

    One of his pics from WW1 was the first thing that came to mind reading the thred titel

    photo jurnalisam , creative licence.
    A message had to be toled and the one photo would not convey enough. Three into one would.
    Well done by a very brave man.

    EDIT = http://www.greatwar.nl/frames/default-hurley.html worth a look

    Interesting stuff. I got a book on the Pulitzer Prize winning photos over the decades and the accompanying stories. Some very adventurous and daredevil photojournalists out there.

    Yeah Shan, got the book as a Chrissy present. There's some pretty good background to the shots and how the photographer ended up being at the right place and maybe the wrong time.

    I think Frank Hurley was the greatest photographer of all time, and an Aussie no less. The way he carefully composed so many photographs under such hardship is truly amazing. If I recall from the book, he destroyed hundreds of plates that he was unable to take with him.
