    Some guy on the internet said that it was the spark plug and not the piston so it must be true, but a spark plug is more believable

    I seem to get the impression that it's a bit of fairing which comes off, as there still seems to be this dark mass attatched to the end of his arm when he steps off.

    I was readin thru sum of the comments and found that it was a nos backfire into the airbox, so thats what the balck object was. Turns out it happened twice to him so now he wears a flak jacket under his leathers. The full video is on his site - http://www.brockracing.com/media/brockatco_NEW.wmv
