Do you mind if I ask where you adopted them from? Only the black one looks like two we had a the Refuge recently.
    Thanks

Err when I say "adopted" I really mean "we took them home".

Marley came from a 7 pup litter in Dalyellup. We got him at six weeks old, a little early and he was a bit sick but he came good.

We didnt get Buddy (previously known as Rahj) until he was about a year old. We wanted another dog but thought it would be best to get one the same age as Marls. We had already moved back to Perth and had to trawl back to Bunbury to pick him up. The owner was selling him as he and his partner were moving to a place where they couldnt keep him. There was no chance we were going to be able to leave without him, he and Marley run up and down the yard side by side, non-stop until we put them in the car together. It's like they were long lost brothers. Mind you, they are 5 months apart (Buddy is younger) but they're both pure lab and Buddy is bigger and fitter. They're both cheeky, naughty and so, so loving. These two were meant for us.

Cider.JPG - This poor boy Cider is being fostered by us at the moment but really needs a home. He's the sweetest boy but I can't keep him. Technically we're not even allowed to foster but he desperately needs it

    haha yehh so true.
Funny thing is though, that rabbit is actually my fiancees childhood toy that she lended him. haha what a mistake that was.

The life average life span of a new toy is around a few hours. They don't last long when he is involved.

    What's snoopy missing?

    Snoopy.jpg

Snoopy is one of the happiest dogs I've ever seen. He may have lost a leg, but he has gained so much confidence and quality of life.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1330115404.066973.jpg My best mate Boss, looking a little sheepish with his ears back because he's not sure if he's allowed on the bench seat. We got him around a month ago from a family who were unable to look after him anymore and he instantly slotted into his place in the family. He's a 2yr old English Staffy and the worlds best manipulator.

    Name: Bobby
Breed: Border Collie x Jack Russell
    Sex: Male
    Hates: Being left alone
Naughtiest Deed: Eating Cables, makeup, passports, rumaging through mums bag and stealing stuff. Sneaking onto the couch when no one is watching and of course digging up all the turf.
Favourite past time: All of the above, plus going to the park and playing soccer
Favourtie toy: Bunny, untill the vet threw it away, now its a manky old ball.
Most Annoying thing: trying to get under the couch where he has stashed his toys, then begging for us to get it out for him

So we just went and put our dog down. Sarge had been through quite a lot in his 4 years, from a knee reconstruction, to finding cancer in the bone which led to amputation of his rear leg. This followed on to chemotherapy and a lot of trips to the vet for various small problems. Then we had 18 months of smooth sailing, until just after Christmas when he was diagnosed with cancer in his other hind leg. Not many options this time round so we got him some decent pain killers and spoilt him rotten for the last few weeks. Yesterday he couldnt get up anymore to go outside for the toilet, so it was time to call the vet. He went peacefully with my wife and i giving him lots of pats and hugs. It was the most devastating thing ive ever had to do.

So R.I.P to a true best friend. May you be running around on all 4 legs chasing cats and destroying teddy bears.

My thoughts are with you, Deeman. Having just gone through the same thing a month ago, I know exactly how it feels.

At least you can be at peace, knowing you gave him every chance possible, and ultimately made the best choices for him.

Hey Deeman, I'm so sorry about Sarge, take care buddy.

Not to bring this place down more but I also got some sad news this morning.
Frodo was a 5 1/2 Mastiff x who came to the Refuge probably about 6 months ago. Just before Christmas the vets found a huge tumor in his stomach so a wonderful, kind family took him in a fostered him and spoilt him absolutely rotten until his time was up. Sadly, that was last night.
RIP Frodo - Run In Paradise

I'm looking after my Mum's Cavoodle this weekend. We got him for her Mothers Day present 5 years ago as a little lap dog..... That hasn't quite worked with him growing bigger than both the Cavalier Spaniel and the toy Poodle he supposedly came from. He still thinks he's a lap dog tho, so all good

Meet Chester Sillybilly at 10 weeks, 6 months, and today....

This is Harley our 2 year old Staffy. He is awesome, follows us around the house all day and loves sleeping on the couch. He has his own toy "Tiga" that he carries around the house and sleeps with. He has so much personality, he almost talks to you.
