couple of thoughts on this one. Perhaps use a slower burning powder? ie. same velocity at the end of the barrel, but uses the full length of the barrel to accelerate, rather than blowing your shoulder off in one big burst. 2nd, perhaps if you don&#39;t want to go searching for your shoulder after firing it, lay flat on the ground with your feet braced against a big rock.
