Recommend PSB some unknown music bands

Okay, i like my music and a fairly well spread out selection of artists and genres.
Let's get a thread rolling of obscure, new, unheard, new, unknown, etc bands, artists, etc as recommendations.

Let us know their name and genre, and even example of good single if you can so we can all search and listen, and hopefully expand our libraries.

    Mr. Bungle
An early experimental/shock rock group with Mike Patton lead vocals

    A bit different

A favourite of mine they were local and now all but vanished, drummer died etc. Fremantle based Rosemary Beads, great vocals.

Another local favourite was Yummy Fur from early 90's, can't find much video wise. Not the same as the Scottish band by the same name.

    Artist - Bible Bashers
    Genre - Rock 'n' Roll
    Album - Self-titled
    Single - Wine Haemorrhage

Another from the Tyranocorp stables in Perth. The video includes footage of local "bashettes" getting down and dirty in nun costumes. but wait, there's more!

Good old fashioned rock and rolling.

RTRfm / Shows / Out To Lunch
Out to lunch is RTR's new music daily program. Stream/tune in to hear a shit load of stuff you won't hear anywhere else.
(or 6 months before it is being pumped as new music on JJJ)

Haha. I'll tell him you said that.

His name is Laith Tyranny, founder/owner of Tyrannocorp, who is the manager for several Perth and eastern states bands.

More info here: Welcome to Tyranocorp...

He's also the lead singer for Fear of Comedy who opened for Marilyn Manson a few years ago on his Australian tour.

If your talking local bands there are so many good ones. All the following fall into the rock or metal catagories

Hailmary, Reapers Riddle, Pale as Ashes, Brutus, Hostile Little Face, Ozmonaut, Amberdown, Sleeping Giant, Diamond Eye, Baby Jane, Stone Circle, Paltiva, State of Order and Fools of April Just to name a few.
Most of those bands do have a cd or ep available

In the not so local category You could try the following

Rook, Echoes the fall, Earshot, Karnivool, Leaves' Eyes, Mammal, Nevermore, Nonpoint, A Perfect circle, Ra, Saliva, Saosin, Saron Gas, Sevendust, Shinedown, Skillet, Soil, 12 Stones and 36 Crazyfists

    THE SEALS

sort of bluegrass on steroids/ roots.
Massive harmonies, lots of depth [everyone sings something], amazing version of Amy Winehouse's REHAB.

I mostly listen to metal, all the different genres. On Saturday night riding home from NoR I was listening to a spanish metal band called Dark Moor and this song came on, The part at 2:13-2:38 caught my attention! Awesome keyboard/guitar part there so the next day I learnt (most) of it on guitar good fun to play!

My brother plays in a local band that have recently found themselves on JJJ and small articles in Blunt Magazine etc. Have toured over east... They are called - "know your knot".

If im completely honest - I cant say that i like the music, but I dont like that kind of music.
I appreciate the music and im sure id like them if it was my thing, but it isnt...

We are completely different in character and didnt always get on when we were younger, but im def proud of him.

Anyways, CSB! Check em out and let me know what you think...
