Resume help

At current, Im just looking for part time.
I've been made aware of a couple of full time jobs, i'd be happy to give up my bar work for, but when someone tells me they need me available for a friday and saturday night, but cant guarantee me work every one of those, then i feel it's a little stupid on my behalf to give up a job that can guarantee me money during those times.

I understand the viewpoint, and its completely understandable that people would think that you cant work to your full potential, but some people (like yours truly) can seem to pull it off.
I've just finished up working over 6 months, in which i got maybe 2 hours sleep during a weekend if i was lucky, and not once during that time did i receive a complaint from either job i was working, in fact i actually moved up in both.
Some people can do it, others cant.

I was not criticising your approach, just trying to put it into perspective from someone who employs people so that you understand why you are not getting the job.

As I mentioned in my original post, if you were looking for part time work I would be prepared to be a bit more flexible, and it does seem a little unfair that the guy expected you to be available on Fri/Sat nights but with no guarantees.

Back to your original question, I am not so sure that there is much of an issue with your resume as you are getting to interview stage. You may need to review your interview technique a little, and perhaps practice with a friend.

As a gentle hint, if you came in and told me how awesome you are and have managed on 2 hours sleep over weekends for the last 6 months and still got promotions, I wouldn't touch you with a bargepole, you would be a Health & Safety liability. (Not suggesting that that is what you would say in an interview )

I've been on a few hiring/firing panels. Already being employed elsewhere does influence many decisions and can certainly limit options.
