The 2010 Sculpture by the Sea launches this Thursday for three weeks and will feature 66 sculptures displayed along one of Perth’s extraordinary beaches, Cottesloe.
Over the past six years, Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe has grown to become one of WA’s biggest events and has proven to be extremely popular. Last year it attracted about 140,000 patrons to Cottesloe Beach.
Sculpture by the Sea, Cotteseloe is funded through Eventscorp’s Arts and Cultural Events Scheme which has helped to significantly elevate the event – the length of the exhibition has been extended from 13 days to 20 days , and the number of sculptures on display has increased from 54 in 2007 to 66 this year.
You’re encouraged to head down to Cottesloe Beach from Thursday to view the extraordinary sculptures that are on display this year.
