Secluded beach, yet close to Perth? North?

I'm looking for a beach that is within a few hours drive of Perth, that is somewhat reliably secluded, and is ok for swimming. I know some of the beaches south of Perth, which means I also know that finding a beach to yourself is hard to do, so I thought I would ask the PSB brains trust if anyone has a spot they are willing to share. Walking a kilometre or two to get to the sand is fine, Im just looking for somewhere that wont have anyone else there. North or south of Perth doesn't matter.
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon! Press the brake foot as you roll around the corners, and save the collapse and tie up.

Your best bet would be to use http://www.nearmap.com/ and just cruise up or down the coast from the air, that way you can get a good look at it
but north you will find many places as there is a lot of rocks/reef that makes naturally secluded bays all along the coast between Burns Bch & Yanchep

Cheers for that. What are the little roads/tracks like around Guilderton and Seabird? 4WD only?

True, but if science had the funds religion has enjoyed for eons we might have better explanations by now, or at least hover shoes.

    You could try Swanbourne.
Everytime I go there, there's plenty of people in the dunes, but no one on the beach..

Wrong forum group. Should have been posted in "Spotted v3".

You would need to go a lot further north than Wilbinga to find seclusion.
It is crawling with 4x4's and fisherman everyday.

Yeah, it was about 20 years ago that I was up there. We just turned left to see where the hell those dirt roads in the middle of nowhere went. I reckon the OP should do the same.

Likewise. If I go near a beach the tide suddenly goes out. Even the ocean has taste.

I was camped on a beach a few Kms north of Sandy Cape, about 10kms north of Jurien a couple of weeks ago, thought I was all alone for miles that night but first thing the next morning I went for a walk down to the water and sure enough there were camped about 200m south of me. I didn't even realise. There is a lot of vacant beach along the turquoise coast, but I would never rely on it for privacy this time of the year. Lots of 4wds buzzing around the dunes at the moment.Generally though, there is plenty of space. Most people just move up the beach a little if they notice they are within eye contact range of someone else.If you're after seclusion to the point that you could cross dress and plat your mates hair without the fear of not having someone come across you at some stage then your not gonna find anywhere at the moment, especially not without a 4wd. However, if your chasing enough space to crank some tunes loudly, let your dog run around and play some beach cricket without annoying anyone else then there is copious amounts of space all along the coast. Just be adventurous!
