Just rang Swann (my insureer) to sus out my obligations related to someone testing my bike, one thing surprised me...
If the potential buyer steals my bike on a test ride, they won't cover the "theft". Is this common?
I now have a dilemna as to how I can get someone to test ride the bike, without knowing them, and being worried they may do a runner.
I have a check-list of things needed as test ride time.
1. Valid License with photo ID and appropriate class
2. Cash on hand at the test to cover insurance excess.
3. Proof of ID with a valid address - sort of like the banks 100-point test
4. Aggreeance by potential buyer to have their photo taken with bike in shot.
5. Meet at a "neutral" venue
6. Dogs not suitable as a "deposit"
Anything else you wise sages of PSB can recommend?
