Smile So..where in Europe has PSB been lately??? *56k die!!**

    Hey All

Well i survived! So far anyways The Ultimate European Contiki that I finished visited 17 countries on 45 days. As with the rep of Contiki yes there were random hookups, drunken nights, the 'Contiki Cough', bad hangovers and some down right good times

I have met some amazing people and formed some friendships that will last a lifetime. Just over half the tour was aussies, then canadians, americans and kiwis. 6.5 weeks is the longest tour that they run and I would thoroughly recommend it. Obviously they do much shorter tours and in differents areas of europe, abd they also vary in different prices.

(click link below to read about the tour i did)
Ultimate European - Egypt — Travel to Europe plus Egypt - France, Spain, Italy and more — Contiki Tours

Anyways, here are some photos from some of the places and sites that i have visited.

    Nice, France

    Vatican City, Rome

standing outside in the main plaza, where the pope makes his formal addresses to the world...

Athens, Greece. the very first olympic stadium

Pisa, Italy. was so much fun trying to get the poses right!

Venice, Italy. visiting the sinking city was very cool!

Amsterdam, Netherlands. standing outside the house of anne frank.

Lucerne, Switzerland. The famous Chapel Bridge, amazing.

Athens, Greece. The Acropolis! High on the hill overlooking the rest of athens.

they are currently reconstructing the main building to its former glory

The Pyramids and Sphinz, Giza, Egypt. Holy Shit! what else needs to be said!

Abu Simbel, Egypt. The truly breathtaking twin temples at Abu Simbel. These where cut up and moved back in the sixties to make way for a crucial dam. They where cut into over 7000 blocks and re-built 180metres away from the original spot. Amazing!

Swarovski Crystal Museum, Switzerland. The home of the world famous Swarovski crystals. this was the main entrance to the musuem, with the factorys off to the right.

    Coloseum, Rome, Italy. Bloody Amazing!

Trevi Fountain, Rome, Italy. The famous trevi fountain. Throw a coin over you left shoulder and it will bring you good luck! I threw a handful of coins!!

Arc De Triumphe, Paris, France. Very Cool, amazing veiw from the top!

Lion of Lucerene, Lucerene, Switzerland. Amazing detail on the statue. so much pain and anguish in the lions face.

Lost City Of Troy, Canakkale, Turkey. The replica of the original horse, u can go inside it, im wearing the sailor hat for a play we did when we got there.

Austrian Tyrol, Austria. a fun and exciting mountain bike ride through the alps of austria. awesome!

Gallipoli, Turkey. Easily the most emotional place on tour for me and alot of other aussies/kiwis. Words cant describe the feeling when u walk along anzac cove and look up towards the cliffs.
    The musuem at Gallipoli..

Looking back from the beach of anzac cove at the cliffs and terrian the troops had to face when storming the beach

All the aussies and kiwis at anzac cove. im sitting on the ground on the left.

then after visiting anzac cove it was off too Lone Pine

    Lone pine cemetary

the main aussie war memorial, so many dead and so young...

standing at the kiwi war memorial, Chunuk Bair, looking down onto the plateau where the troops SHOULD have landed. Only a few kilometeres up the beach from anzac cove, so many lives would have been saved...

standing inside the turkish dug trenches at Chunuk Bair, they barely covered me when i crouched down, let alone trying to carry a gun and equipment...

and on a bit of a brighter note everyone, well mainly the boys. I have a special presents from some aussie and candian girls on tour! Gotta love a drunked room party in Budapest! enjoy!

and now for some random fun shots from some of my favourite places

a typical night of drinking on Contiki....

our back to school party night at the Contiki owned Chataeu in the French countryside

    The Contiki owned Chataeu, awesome!

i was slightly excited by the drinking a 3.5L heinekan tower! it was our karaoke night out in Florence...

Chillin on deck on the Red Sea, Egypt! spent the day snorkelling and swimming. so much fun!

an aussie pub in Vienna, Austria!

enjoying a stein in a Munich beer hall. I love my glasses that i found in a tourist shop in heidlberg earlier that day

heading through munich, the Mercedes factory. So what one do you want? I'll have the silver one!

our human pyramid on our bike ride through the canals of Amsterdam, my back still hurts!

a random by chance meetingwith some friends from perth! In the red light distric of Amsterdam of all places!

a typical day on the bus, some of the best times on tour happened on there. Our bus was called 'GiGi'.

    some egyptian fun!
    walk like an egyptian...

i was a 'little' excited to be there...

the 3 pyrmids of giza, awesome!!!

a camel ride from the pyramids to the sphinx..

    the sphinx

one of my favourite pics of the tour

having some fun at a palace in budapest

i was thirsty! at the swarovski crystal museum

and finally at the highest point in europe, Jungfrua, Swizterland...

    very cold!!!

some of the crew that went up the mountain

So yeah its been fantastic trip so far and so many good memories. Im currently in the UK staying just outside Manchester with my aunty and family.

I leave on the 17th aug and head to the greek islands for another contiki tour. 13 more days of fun in the sun and sheningans i reckon! i'll be staying there after the tour just to chill out and relax before heading back to london...

    clicky

then lastly before heading home (mid oct) im off to Oktoberfest! that should be a blast again!

Wow that looks awesome, pretty much exactly what I wanna end up doing. How much did that 45 day one set you back? And all together, just curious as to how much I have to save.

Kalos I love what you have done with the PSB logo. I just got back last week but it never occurred to me to theme the photos. wish I had seen you photos before I left. PSB at the Nurburgring would have been ideal
