Hey All
Well i survived! So far anywaysThe Ultimate European Contiki that I finished visited 17 countries on 45 days. As with the rep of Contiki yes there were random hookups, drunken nights, the 'Contiki Cough', bad hangovers and some down right good times
I have met some amazing people and formed some friendships that will last a lifetime. Just over half the tour was aussies, then canadians, americans and kiwis. 6.5 weeks is the longest tour that they run and I would thoroughly recommend it. Obviously they do much shorter tours and in differents areas of europe, abd they also vary in different prices.

Anyways, here are some photos from some of the places and sites that i have visited.
Nice, France
Vatican City, Rome
standing outside in the main plaza, where the pope makes his formal addresses to the world...
Athens, Greece. the very first olympic stadium
Pisa, Italy. was so much fun trying to get the poses right!
Venice, Italy. visiting the sinking city was very cool!

The Pyramids and Sphinz, Giza, Egypt. Holy Shit! what else needs to be said!
Abu Simbel, Egypt. The truly breathtaking twin temples at Abu Simbel. These where cut up and moved back in the sixties to make way for a crucial dam. They where cut into over 7000 blocks and re-built 180metres away from the original spot. Amazing!
Swarovski Crystal Museum, Switzerland. The home of the world famous Swarovski crystals. this was the main entrance to the musuem, with the factorys off to the right.
Coloseum, Rome, Italy. Bloody Amazing!
Trevi Fountain, Rome, Italy. The famous trevi fountain. Throw a coin over you left shoulder and it will bring you good luck! I threw a handful of coins!!
Arc De Triumphe, Paris, France. Very Cool, amazing veiw from the top!
Lion of Lucerene, Lucerene, Switzerland. Amazing detail on the statue. so much pain and anguish in the lions face.
Lost City Of Troy, Canakkale, Turkey. The replica of the original horse, u can go inside it, im wearing the sailor hat for a play we did when we got there.
Austrian Tyrol, Austria. a fun and exciting mountain bike ride through the alps of austria. awesome!
Gallipoli, Turkey. Easily the most emotional place on tour for me and alot of other aussies/kiwis. Words cant describe the feeling when u walk along anzac cove and look up towards the cliffs.
The musuem at Gallipoli..
Looking back from the beach of anzac cove at the cliffs and terrian the troops had to face when storming the beach
All the aussies and kiwis at anzac cove. im sitting on the ground on the left.
then after visiting anzac cove it was off too Lone Pine
Lone pine cemetary
the main aussie war memorial, so many dead and so young...
standing at the kiwi war memorial, Chunuk Bair, looking down onto the plateau where the troops SHOULD have landed. Only a few kilometeres up the beach from anzac cove, so many lives would have been saved...
standing inside the turkish dug trenches at Chunuk Bair, they barely covered me when i crouched down, let alone trying to carry a gun and equipment...
and on a bit of a brighter note everyone, well mainly the boys. I have a special presents from some aussie and candian girls on tour! Gotta love a drunked room party in Budapest! enjoy!
