BTW - anyone else think it was funny that they have been advertising it as being shown in 1080 HD, then on the final for some reason they decide to show the Australian rally championship on the HD channel and only show dancing on the low res channel?

Weird, I was abit panicky there when the Rally came on, weird to have all the other shows on Ten HD but the finale was on low-res.
ROVE should be scrapped, really gone downhill since his Wife passed away. Used to have a real atmosphere with the inhouse band in the corner etc, now it just seems too pretentious (sp?) and try-hard letterman type show.

Meh, looking at very hot chicks in little clothing strutting their stuff and really shakin their ass in very nice ways doesn't seem very gay to me.
The concept is pretty pathetic, as with most other reality shows on TV. I'm sure it's full of hot chicks, I've just never bothered to mindlessly watch it

Really ? I can certaintly say these people have talent, Australian Idol - no not much talent there - however it is very hard to dance the way these guys have let alone learn a new dance that is completely foreign to them in a matter of days, then try and look like they have been doing it for years in front of a camera.
Dance is a passion industry here in Australia, as in there is little to no money in it for most people unlike in the USofA where there has been a massive surgence in it and people can make a good living from it. A show that brings attention to it and possibly increases the opportunity for people to extend themselves professionally is certainly a good thing.
Can't wait for next season.
My gripe with the Australian version is poor song choice and very shoddy song editing. We got 'leftover' songs whereas the US version used very popular songs from great artists. Also our sound editing was shoddy, a 10 year old could have done better, the songs didn't start in good places (Places at the start of dances where I thought someone fkd up the music due to silence) and lack of decent fading at the end or proper end of the songs. Oh well.
Kudos for a show with some actual talent both in eye-candy and skill.
Each to their own I guess. I have to agree with resist on this one. I am fkn jealous I can't do anything and I have 2 left feet, doesn't stop me watching hotties shakin their thing.

Agreed, it has been the only show i watch religiously. The competition elements are irrelevant, i just like watching some amazing dancers perform some incredible choreography. i'll be very interested to see next year's show.

So You Think You Can Dance made a concerted effort to increase the 'Cry Factor' this year, but thankfully failed. While the first few weeks will always be 'So You Think You Can Cry' the second half is always awesome! I'm loving this shit again.
Top show again tonight, opening dance is mad!
