Speed Camera in Perth Tunnel?

Is there one? I always see cars hoon through there, but I'm curious as to why? Wouldn't the tunnel be the worst place to speed? Are there speed cameras there? So many cruises go through there and as soon as they do its a race to see who can hit 200 first it seems... =/

Whats the go with this? Purely curious, I've done a google search but nothing came up

AFAIK there are cameras in there, but they are only surveillance type ones. Just to pick up on any nobheads walking through there, and break downs etc.

there are no speed cameras. go nuts.

they always have them at the entrance and exit on the west side though. even late at night 11/12pm. saving lives.

^ yeah spot on. A few times I've seen a camera just under the Lord st overpass as you exit the tunnel heading east.

IIRC : The Multinovas had problems functioning correctly, it was in the media not long after the poly pipe was completed, there was talk during construction from the government that they were considering a fixed one in there as well.

Let alone the OH&S issues of the operators of the multinovas or the new ones sitting in their cars breathing in fresh crap
