Thumbs down Subiaco parking inspectors SUX

I respect parking inspectors and the job they do (otherwise we'd have parking chaos and lots of frustrated motorists and local residences from inconsiderate parkers).

BUT the grey ghosts at Subiaco SUX. They slapped my car a fine within 15 minutes of my 1-hour ticket being expired in an open car park. This is on quiet Sunday afternoon, there were plenty of parking either along the street (limited time) or in the open car parks. It's not like I was parking inconsiderately in people's way, or did not bother to get a ticket, and the car park was only 10% full! A little bit over time and these grey ghosts swooped on my car like vultures. Other councils give you more slack than that. Ironically, a weekend newspapers recently reported how much revenue the councils were gaining from parking fines, which they denied that they were revenue raising and only booked people who really breach the rules. All I can say to Subiaco city inspectors is that - u SUX big time.

Therein lies the problem. Less vehicles to target, means more likely to get caught if defrauding the poor council of its revenue.

Sucks to be you in that situation!

I m with you FaceThe Power, i work in Subiaco and have had arguement s with inspectors over tickets expired less than 10mins and recieving a fine.
Its just another job for power tripping losers who were picked on in high school who want to feel some authority! saying that there are some good ones out there.

Having said that my view is that many grey ghosts are quite decent and tolerant, so I don't encourage anyone giving them a hard time while doing their jobs - 'just that these Subi ones pissed me off.

I think the idea of paying for parking sucks in general so I agree with you, but there is every chance that they just so happened to scrutineer the area you were parked in within 15 minutes of your ticket expiring, or they could have walked past 30 mins after or 45 (not like they lay in wait for your ticket to expire). Just chance I guess as to when they check that area... they have to walk past sometime, it just so happened it was within 15 mins of your ticket expiring, doesn't make your ticket any less expired. Pay the fine, out of sight out of mind.

As much as we like to complain about the grey ghosts, how many times have you been to the city and found five parking bays taken up by a dickhead cager parked accross them?
Who ya gunna call? They do serve a purpose.
