I downloaded it and to tell you the truth, I was kinda disappointed by the album. I like vicariously, but eevrything else is kinda meh IMO.

I'm really glad I downloaded it, as it means I dont have to waste my money buying such a below average album.

Tool are really annoying me, opiate was great, undertow was awesome, then from Aenima onwards, the album has become less about songs, and more about putting in random wanky, lame noises and calling them a track.

There are 2 decent songs on this album, and all the rest is.....I can only call it, artsy.

I will certainly not be spending my money on it, and it has helped me justify not bothering to spend cash on seeing them live when they come over.

In my opinion, Tool are a below par band.

The guitarist has to use external assistance to get any good picking speed and can't come up with any original sound ideas. Everything I've heard of his is a rip off of Tommy Iommi, Jimi Hendrix or Jimmy Page.

Their drummers not bad. Quick, but he's no Ian Paice or John Bonnom. Listen to Moby Dick and you'll see what I mean.

I liked some stuff from their first album, but from there on in its all been shite, sadly, and this new album has continued the poorly trend.

Tool have a different slant tho. I like em. Jimi would be proud.

I bought the album and am a little disappointed. It is progressive as always but the songs don't seem to go anywhere. Maybe I need a couple more listens to warm up to it. The cover art is quite different though with the stereo glasses.

Dragging this thread up from the depths for no other reason than we all just got home and dusted off the old CD for a drunk, emotional recollect of almost 6 years previous when we were all single and could do this back to back to back every weekend.

FYI Tool still make me feel like I'm a deep, brooding soul. The likes of which the world will never understand.
Truth be told, I'm just some guy and Tool can put together a good track.

Fair call, but I tend to remember good albums by how good a time I was having at that point in my life, I was 10years old when Aenima was released (now 15 years ago - wonder how it would appeal if released now).

I'll keep the revival going . . . this was the last album that I think I actually paid for.
I wish there was more music around along these lines (maybe there is and I don't know about it)
I still listen to it, but on my ipod.
