There's a difference between hearing things I don't like and having words put in my mouth and assumptions made. I'm not just referring to that one thread either, I just mean a lot of posts in general people are always arguing over fuck all and there always seems to be that one person that is overly pedantic or that feels the need to prove everyone else wrong. I've even seen it in some of the "RIP" threads, it's a little bit ridiculous sometimes.
Don't get me wrong, I can handle when I'm wrong or being called a dickhead, so I'm not having a cry at that, it's just annoying how persistent some people can be, even when they don't have their facts completely straight. And that goes for a lot of threads on here.

Fair enough that you can admit that you are wrong, good on you, I have had to do that myself a couple of times over the years.
Welcome to the internet, no matter where you go, which site you're a member of, what hobby it is, they're everywhere, learn to let it go.
Even when you post up the correct information, from an authorative site they will stick to their information source, because "it is not influenced by non-tinfoil hat wearing, slaves to the corporate line" blah blah blah, that is a generalisation I know but you get the idea.
Somehow it's reassuring knowing that I'm not the only one pretending to be normal.
