    UK & Ireland in pic's.

    Some pics from the UK.
Landed in London to find our connecting flight to Edinburgh cancelled. So drove.
12 days and ~3,500km later, we're in Cork. Having a recovery night in.

    Edinburgh.

    Stabbity things in Edinburgh Castle.

German Xmas market in Edinburgh. Go figure.

    Tasty.

    Driving through the highlands.

    Picked up some goodies here.

    Hiking up the Cairngorms.

Tiny little hut was the lunchstop.

    It's a stream.

Talikser. Nice way to spend a b'day.

    Castle.

    Another castle.

    Church.

Laphroaig Distilley. Went on the Hunters Hike tour. (and bought more goodies.)
Between Laphroaig, Bowmore, Talisker and Glenfiddich I'm fully stocked up.
Grabbed some whiskey infused honey at Bowmore.....so now I can have scotch with my cereals and not look like an alco.

Guard Sheep. Guarding the Laphroaig water source.

    Water source, before and after.

    Sunset.

View of the Highlands from the Islay ferry.

    Sligo. Ireland.

    More mountains.

So they had to be climbed.

    Another guard sheep.

    An abbey.

Hoping to see the Cliffs of Moher. Couldn't see SFA.

A hint of cliff in the fog.

    The Blarney Castle.

    Cork.

    More Cork.

The reason for staying in Cork.

MOAR ... its making me want to travel again.

Some say he eats sidchrome for breakfast

Some say he only showers on even days of the week

Some say he put an R1 motor in a coffee machine

All we know is he's Hewie.

Wonderful. I'm very envious! Happy birthday, too!
"Once you can have people more frightened of disorder than tyranny, it enables you to do almost anything you like so far as legislation is concerned." Chief Judge Antoinette Kennedy, 26/3/2010.

"The State must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation." Adolph Hitler, Mein Kampf

Awesome pics, hope you get to travel around Ireland a bit, stunning scenery, I was lucky enough to take the family over this year and we went from Dublin straight across to Gallway then followed the coast right around the top and back down the west coast back to Dublin, stopping in on family in Port Sterwart, Port Rush and Garvagh
out of hundreds, here's a couple of pics from some favourite spots,

Our first night was at the Carlton Ritz in Powerscourt just south west of Dublin, the most amazing hotel & location
    Powerscourt.JPG

on the way from Gallway up the west coast was an endless procession of bikes, the most amazing roads with those guard sheep watching over the roads instead of police
    Gallway_Kylemore.JPG

And Kylemore Abbey, an amazing place and an amazing history of the abbey & associated buildings on site

    Didn't kiss the stone.
Currently we're having a pint at the Guinness Storehouse looking out over Dublin.

    Some great places there DS.
    We've passed them already unfortunately.

Might have time to sort more pics later...

    Stunning!

Beautiful terrain, hiking through it (even though it looks bloody cold) and then a wee dram of whisky to warm up...... divine.

    Loved the highlands.

    Jealous of your distillery tours.

Wishing the two of you a magic Christmas x

Back in Perth sorting thru pic's.
No updates as had limited net access and have been sick as a dog since getting rabies from Pommy's niece/nephews as xmas time.
However, most importantly, am home, and all goodies accounted for:
