    Van needed to move TV

    Hi All,

I'm hoping to find someone with a van to help move a 60" TV less than 2km all up, I've moved house and still need to get my TV from the old place, The only safe way to move this thing i've thought of is in a van sitting upright with me holding it, luckly i've only moved 4 blocks away.

I'm paying $$ and shouldn't take more than an hour tops, Anyone able to assist?

    Cheers,

    Rick

Just to be a prick: if you're going to sit in a van holding the TV, make sure that there are no side windows. You would have to be very unlucky, but the last thing you want is to score a seat belt ticket from a cop, resulting in a $500 fine for yourself, plus a $500 fine and bonus four demerit points for the driver.

Anyone else remember the good ol' days when you could sit in the back of a van or ute?

In a perfect world you could find a suitable 60" box. Might be worth calling shops that sell TVs and asking around for one.
One owner. Only driven gently on Sundays. Sold to best offer. First to see will buy. Reward offered for safe return. Coming soon to a cinema near you. Available for a limited time only.

My waterbed broke this morning. Oh, I don't have a waterbed. Bugger.

I'd say a station wagon or a car where you can put the seats down. Wrap in a blanket and lie flat. Depending if it's a new tv or old. Sorry cant help move it though.

If you can find them, maybe you can hire this van...

Seriously though, what about Swan taxi trucks? If worst comes to worst. I'd help but don't have a van. So instead I offer the above to lift your mood whilst you search for a tangible alternative.

I can give you a hand...and yes all of the windows are blacked out. Send me a PM with the details.

left field idea - book a maxi taxi, throw the driver an extra $20 if they help you carry it.

Right field idea, if its only ~2km carry it down the street and look like a boss lugging a massive tv over your head, for added effect take off shirt and hang out back pocket
