American Beauty and Road to Perdition - Some of the best cinematography I've seen. In AB the lighting of the faces is un-paralleled, as is the rain shots. Transformers one and two had awesome 3D effects. All the Pixar and Disney animated movies are amazing.

The Machinist is filmed in an interesting way aswell I though, with the almost sepia colouring, a lot went into the details like all the cars being colourless bar the cars that were around in the accident and so on......

Final Fantasy - The Spirits Within. Amazing 3D work

Forrest Gump, the scene with the fireworks reflected on the lake, and where he's running and the mountains are reflected. Very hard to do well.

Goodfellas is well done for the time.

Hancock had good effects too.

The T.V show 'Monk' is always good, generally filmed in a standard way but every now and again they do a very nice lighting trick, one in particular where Monk is sat in a chair watching a video and just his face and the wall behind him are lit. Both nice to look at and sad, the only movie/T.V show that's ever made me cry.

I've only been blown away by 2 movies for visuals, hellboy 2 and 300.
