What have i done!
Hudson will never forgive me..
After a clip to cool him down for the summer, he went from:
Resplendent.
To GAY!
I will never do this again. He just looks far to much like a 45kg poodle. Sorry Buddy!
He is NOT happy about it.
He seems to have sensitive skin and last summer he got heaps of heat rash which he knawed at....this better make him feel better in the heat and it bloody well better grow back for winter!
The groomer charged me extra because he had so much hair. She got TWO full bin bags from him..which i kept...because i want to make a dog hair beanie.
Poor ol' Hudstable!
Dont laugh!
He's well pissed.

I'd be pissed at you as well
Edit: Before the haircut, what a gorgeous dog!
Now... Well, lets just hope the haircut was worth it hey?

I know! I'm kinda regretting it now, but you should have seen how long and thick his hair was. 2 bin bags full says it all, he was like a sheep.

The groomer lady said it would grow back in 3 months.
Interesting to see what his undercoat colour is.
He's pretty much black all over, but underneath he is quite white.
I'm fairly sure he is the definition of whats called a Silver Shepherd..
Hes mother and brother, Kaiser, are pure white.
Heres some old pics that TurboR1 took.

You could consider clipping his tail too. Might make him look like less of a poodle.

Oh dear.
We had a StBernard, she got clippered a couple of times for summer.
Cept they did her tail, and trimmed on the ears and face a bit with scissors.

He even looks pissed. All happy puppy with his long locks. Now the expression on his face is "WHAT THE FUCK DID I DO TO YOU".
I'm sure come summer he will be loving it though. Rad dogs though mate.

They always do that the first time. He will get over it. One thing, if its a cool night, you may well want to cover him with a blanket. It took charlotte a while to climatise after loosing her fur.
She quite liked it when she got used to it, she'd run around like a little puppy. For a few days, wear herself out and then go back to normal

my sister gets her cat done for summer and they just take all the fluff off his tummy and leave everything else. It's not very noticeable from above, but he takes full advantage of it by stretching out on the slate tiles to cool off!
