What would Dorkington say about this?

I know I'm preaching to the converted, but I just can't resist getting onto the soap-box again.

To anyone who says there is "carnage on our roads", here's the proof, again, they're spruiking bullshit.

    Full article here.

National toll at its lowest but deaths rise in older road users

It is based on NSW Dept of Transport figures.

    A couple of quotes.

THE national road toll has fallen to its lowest level since 1946, when Australia's population was one-third the size it is now and the three-point seatbelt was still more than a decade away.
More people died on NSW roads in 1970 than nationally last year.
    and interestingly...

NSW had a shocking month in December, recording 40 deaths compared with 25 in the same month the previous year.
But the NSW toll for 2011 was down by 7.2 per cent (to 376 deaths), whereas Victoria, which has widespread use of hidden speed cameras, did not record a reduction.
Queensland, which also uses covert speed cameras, recorded an 8 per cent increase in road deaths, although it was the second-lowest figure for the state since reliable records began in 1952.

    Just saying.......

Dorrington was the stunt double for 2 Girls 1 Cup. It's the only explanation for the volume of shit that comes out of his mouth.

Based on other countries in the world - you could argue that increasing the speed limit would save more lives... not that anyone would let logic get in the way of a tidy profit...

What would he say if this happened in Perth! Indonesian woman kills 9 pedestrians, tests positive for drugs » Breaking News on Newstro | Live News Alerts -

But anyway, they cynical view are that there are people whose livelihoods are about "attacking" the road toll. But like most people they just take the easy way out, show a result, keep on working, rinse and repeat. But with traffic the answer put forward is to keep dumbing down the system until even the lowest common denominator can get buy without incident. And the dumb keep getting dumber. With the way things are going I reckon in a few years there'll be posts on PSB asking if one has to stop at red lights and whether it's okay to ride without your helmet strap done up if the weather is hot.

You should send your above Info to police minister Rob Johnson, see what he thinks
Late last year I sent an email To Rob Johnson about how the current speed enforcement had NOT reduced the road toll, and in fact some months was actually higher than previous years and also higher toll for the full year than other years..

Yr 2005 toll was 162 vs 2011 toll 180 despite the massive increase in mobile speed cameras and 30x plus fixed redlight/speed .. Robs response to my email stating above facts was to Block my I.P address so i couldnt continue with further questioning etc!!! Hardly an appropriate respnse from a state Minister!!!

In Canada in the 1990s, when they introduced speed cameras for the 1st time, There was such a massive outcry from the candian people via protests, and lobbying of Local and federal pollies they actually removed them.. maybe its time W.A people got vocal and start protesting against this bullshit speed campaign.
Send emails etc, to road safety council, email Premier Clolin Barnett , Dont vote for a local government that supports such hipocrisy..
Do something other than having a whinge to your mates etc, PROTEST to the people with the power..
